Psoriasis is disease prevalent generally in colder climates ,its a seasonal disease which relapses in particular period of the year ,so its treatment should also be seasonal ,which means the treatment always need to be special and in a cyclical manner ,i.e done in particular period of the year repetitively.
Treatment always should include internal medicine and external treatments

Internal medicine:
the internal medicine should be decided by the physician after through examination of the patient .the medicines depend on the patient 's prakruti.it includes drugs which reduce itching and that which are beneficial to the skin.

External treatments:
takra dhara is very proven treatment for psoriasis ,and along with that kashaya dhara with suitable drugs and massage with appropriate oil and along with that virechana given at appropriate interval will fetch excellent results, on the whole it may take 21 days for the treatment ,and its should be continued for at least 3 years and medicine [oral] and diet control should be strictly followed.
Psoriasis is a disease which affects both mind and body so counselling is very essential along with treatment ,in allopathy it managed with steroids which have side effects,psoriasis is some time associated with arthritis in which case arthritis should be taken care of first and then psoriasis
